Honig Pasteurisation 04

InterUpgrade specialises in supplying pasteurisation systems for almost all conceivable products. We demonstrated to a customer on the Iberian peninsula that we were able to master the skills necessary for the development of a honey pasteurisation plant very swiftly. The development of the system involved taking new parameters, which were typical for honey, into consideration. A pasteurisation system for honey is completely different to one for milk or fruit juice. On the one hand there are the parameters which have to be met in order to maintain the honey quality and the desired product characteristics. On the other hand there are the process parameters which make a special type of construction necessary due to the physical properties of the honey. When pasteurising honey, it is particularly important that the heat treatment occurs with sharp definition. The target temperature must be reached quickly and quit equally quickly. It is more important to minimise the mixing phase between water and honey as much as possible, or indeed to rule it out completely, than it would be for other products. The mixing phases are not split up in the target tank due to the viscosity. It must also be possible to empty a cold honey pasteuriser quickly in an emergency without problems then occurring due to the higher honey viscosity.

We take care of the whole process as always. This is the case even if we are only responsible for the pasteurisation system. Customers can rely on us to supply and implement a fully functional system at their company right through from the honey process itself to the target tanks prior to bottling. In such cases we have always provided support for the customer in the form of procedural advice for all stages of the process (cleaning, heating up, sterilisation, starting up/shutting down, handling of the on-site CIP system). We have also given operating staff detailed and highly successful training for all process steps on commissioning. This wouldn't actually be worth mentioning if it didn't set us apart from the competition.
